Specific sector Objectives

To strengthen the protection systems for women, men, girls, and boys in all their diversity where their fundamental rights are respected and access effective justice and protection system.

Results

Women, men, girls, and boys in all their diversity including community influencers are engaged in social and behavior change on matters of equality, GBV and child protection in their community.

Result 1.2.  Women, men, girls, and boys in all their diversity have access to appropriate support in response to SGBV, protection.

Activities

  • Awareness creation and prevention on SGBV
  • Provide psychosocial support (through trainings and counselling)
  • Home visits to survivors of SGBV.
  • Case identification, reporting and referral of SGBV cases.
  • Advocacy campaigns on SGBV
  • Capacity building on child protection to various stakeholders 
  • Create a case management desk at ICS.

  • Provision of appropriate training for teachers and instructors (Inclusive education)
  • Continuous professional development for teachers and instructors
  • Provision of teaching and instructional materials for teachers 
  • Provision of scholastic and extra-curricular materials for the learners
  • Promotion of child protection and safeguarding activities in schools and community
  • Training on Value Based Education (VBE) for improvement of educator’s personal qualities and competencies to improve teaching and learning through promoting teacher- facilitator roles.
  • Conduct trainings and support in Gender responsiveness in Schools and communities for improved management of gender roles and biases in Schools and community.
  • Capacity Building of School Management and Teachers in their roles.

Disability inclusion: We shall ensure that we include persons with disabilities in everything that we do.       

Ensure that PWDs who qualify will be eligible for employment at ICS.

Make sure people with disabilities have a say in ICS decisions and plans.

Ensure our buildings, meetings and information are accessible to persons with disabilities.

Sensitization of the community to embrace and love those members who are abled differently.

Make sure that people with disabilities get extra support if they need it.

Give staff information and training about how to include people with disabilities.
